Why not book in for your own event?

Wired Differently is an online and offline space created by an ADHD diagnosed individual who is passionate about educating and providing sensory experiences. Community is at the heart of Wired Differently, and the mission is to create an inclusive space where neurodivergent individuals can feel accepted and understood. We believe in embracing differences and celebrating individuality.

I'm Carrie! A photographer diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 43 in 2023. I’m passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments for neurodivergent people that welcome neurotypicals in to our world beyond just being invited in to theirs. After attending countless events where I felt there was a lack of understanding and adaptations for individuals like me, I knew something needed to change.

Through my personal and professional experiences, I’ve discovered ways to design spaces and events that welcome everyone, especially those who, like me, are sensory seekers looking for a comfortable environment to express themselves freely.

Why I Started This Community As someone with ADHD

I’ve felt firsthand the challenges that come with environments that don’t cater to diverse neurotypes. From overwhelming sensory overloads to feeling out of place, the experience can be frustrating. Over the years, I’ve worked on various photography projects and events that lacked these essential adaptations, and I realised there was a need for change. My mission now is to build a community where neurodivergent individuals feel empowered and safe to be themselves, all while embracing their unique sensory needs.
